iCapital Network Adds Four to Senior Management Ranks

iCapital Network, an online platform that provides streamlined access to alternative investments, has strengthened its senior management team with four new hires. 

Finance veteran Tom Iacono joins the firm as CFO, Grace Kim joins the firm as head of investor relations, David Russo joins as head of platform integration, and Bryan Gallagher joins as legal counsel.

“I am delighted to announce our latest round of new appointments,” said Lawrence Calcano, CEO of iCapital Network, in a statement. “Tom’s expertise in corporate finance and M&A, coupled with his understanding of the investment process, will be a significant asset to our business as we accelerate our growth and consolidate our position as the preferred alternatives platform for advisory professionals and their high-net-worth clients. 

“Our goal is to give registered investment advisors, broker-dealers, private banks and family offices access to the highest caliber of alternative investing opportunities,” Calcano continued. “With that priority front and center, we are thrilled to have Grace, David and Bryan join our growing organization to provide structure and oversight to teams that have expanded in recent months. Their respective backgrounds bring a powerful combination of industry perspective and capabilities that will facilitate flawless execution and enhanced client interactions.

Iacono, who will report directly to Calcano, joins iCapital from General Electric where he spent 12 years in key financial leadership and transaction advisory roles in the GE Energy Financial Services, GE Corporate Aircraft and GE Capital Aviation Services divisions. He was previously CFO of Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Fund and a senior manager at Deloitte. 

Kim joins iCapital from Fir Tree Partners, a multi-strategy investment firm, where she was a director in the investor relations group. She has 17 years of experience working closely with both managers and investors in the alternative investment industry, and began began her career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch.

Russo joins the firm from Credit Suisse Private Banking Americas, where he was COO of assets and investments and responsible for cross-product strategy and business development for the firm’s investment advisory offerings. Beforehand, he was program director of the $200 billion Rep-as-Advisor business in the Managed Solutions Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. 

Gallagher joins iCapital from Goldman Sachs, where he served as assistant general counsel in the Investment Management division with a focus on alternative investments. He previously worked in the asset management practice at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson LLP and the global private investment funds practice at Paul Hastings LLP.
