Amundi Brings Real and Alternative Assets Together In Single Platform

Paris-based investment manager Amundi has launched a new consolidated platform that brings together the firm’s capabilities in both real and alternative assets.

The company has moved real estate, private debt, private equity, infrastructure and alternative multi-management services into an integrated business. The move meshes a team of 200 investment professionals active in origination, structuring and management and responsible for €34 billion in assets under management – a figure Amundi hopes to double by 2020.

The platform will provide institutional and individual investors with opportunity to invest directly in real assets as well as alternative strategies with low correlations and illiquidity premiums, attractive characteristics in an environment of low interest rates and sustained equity volatility, Amundi said in a statement. 

Amundi is one of the largest asset managers in Europe. Formed from a 2010 joint-venture between Credit Agricole and Societe General, the company’s manages more than €1 trillion of assets worldwide for more than 1,000 institutional clients and 100 million retail investors.
