Idinvest Partners Appoints Ex-Amundi Exec Princi as General Counsel

European private equity company Idinvest Partners has named Julien Princi as general counsel. 

Princi specializes in the creation of private equity funds and related transactions, and brings extensive experience with fund structures and both European and U.S. regulation, according to a statement. He will report to COO Syvianne Guyonnet. 

Before joining Idinvest Partners, Princi spent 14 years working in the asset management industry. Most recently, he was deputy general counsel for Amundi, where he was most recently in charge of the private equity and real estate activities.

Prior to Amundi, he was head of product administration and creation for SGAM Alternative Investments and head of legal for the PE division of SG Asset management. Before working in asset management, Princi was a mergers & acquisition attorney for law firm Salans (now Dentons) in Paris for almost five years.

Based in Paris and founded under the name AGF Private Equity in 1997, Idinvest was formerly part of Allianz until 2010 when it joined forces with IDI as an independent firm. The company manages more than €6.7 billion in assets.
