Wall Street Horizon Teams With MT Newswires On Quantitative Alpha

Corporate event data provider Wall Street Horizon and premium financial newswire service MT Newswires have inked a partnership aimed at helping quantitative investors uncover new sources of alpha.   

Under the agreement, Wall Street Horizon will offer MT Newswires’ Live Briefs Pro -North America and Live Briefs Pro - Global Markets real-time news services and related archives to its roster of quantitative clients, according to a statement.

MT Newswires, which offers original, real-time, multi-asset class global business and financial news to institutional clients worldwide, is expanding its reach to quantitative analysts and researchers though the provision of more than one million stories and seven years of archived economic and market data to help quantitative investors develop new alpha-generating strategies, noted the joint statement.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The deal comes close on the heels of a similar arrangement Wall Street Horizons made in early January with crowdsourced estimates Estimize. 

Founded in 2003 and based outside Boston, Wall Street Horizon provides institutional investors and traders with comprehensive information and data about corporate events such as earnings dates, dividend dates, options expiration dates, splits and investor conferences. The company’s products are available via API or the Enchilada online suite, and on financial industry platforms such as Eikon and Markit Hub.
