Conifer Snags Former UBS Prime Brokerage Head

San Francisco hedge fund administrator Conifer Securities has hired Dick Del Bello as a senior partner.

Based in Conifer’s New York office, Del Bello will work closely with newly-minted CEO Jack McDonald to boost business development and guide strategic infrastructure initiatives, the firm said.

Del Bello most recently served as head of prime brokerage for the Americas at UBS. He joined UBS when it acquired Paine Webber, where he helped set up and run the prime brokerage businesses.

“We are honored to have someone with Dick’s stature on our team,” said McDonald. “With his vast experience and perspective, Dick is uniquely qualified to help us identify and deliver additional value-added services for our clients.”
