Seth Tobias had cocaine, alcohol and sleeping pills coursing through his veins the night he died, according to a long-awaited toxicology report.
A former personal assistant to the founder of hedge fund Circle T Partner has claimed that his widow, Filomena, confessed to murdering Tobias. According to William Ash, Filomena said she served Tobias a pasta sauce spiked with crushed Ambien pills in an effort to hasten his drowning. Ash’s claims were first reported by FINalternatives in October.
The toxicology tests found Ambien in Tobias’ body, according to WPBF News 25 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
That report is now being reviewed by Jupiter police. The State Attorneys Office will decide whether to pursue a homicide investigation.
Filomena Tobias is currently engaged in nasty battle over her late husband’s estate with his half-brothers. Ash testified in that matter on Friday.
