Boston-based private equity company JMC Capital Partners has named former Symmetric Capital senior executive Todd Rainville as a partner.

In his new role, Rainville will head up the company’s business development team, playing a pivotal role in identifying uniquely-positioned industrial companies, building meaningful relationships with founders and business owners, and structuring attractive investment opportunities for the firm.

Rainville brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective to JMC, according to a statement, with twenty years of private equity and finance experience navigating varied, and often complex transactions. Most recently, he was a partner at a Symmetric Capital for five years, and previously held senior positions Summit Partners and Ampersand Capital Partners.

“Todd’s extensive background, experience, and commitment provides exceptional value to JMC,” said Michael D’Amelio, managing partner at JMC. “We look forward to utilizing his deep industry knowledge and leadership as we continue to build and strengthen our core capabilities.”

Founded in 1999, JMC Capital Partners focuses exclusively on executing a platform investment strategy within the lower middle-market industrial product and technology sectors.
