Beachhead Capital's Equity Hedge Dynamic Beta Strategy Selected For SMArt Xchange

Beachhead Capital Management’s long-only Equity Hedge Dynamic Beta LO investment strategy has been selected for inclusion on the SMArt Xchange, the new collaboration between SS&C Technologies and HedgeCoVest announced earlier this month.

SMArtX is a next generation unified managed accounts platform that combines HedgeCoVest’s proprietary trading and managed accounts technology with SS&C Advent’s suite of tools for wealth advisors. Available exclusively to clients of SS&C Advent, the platform’s technology allows SS&C’s client base of advisors using Axys, APX, or Black Diamond applications to access a range of investment strategies at low cost with daily liquidity and other features.

Beachhead’s Equity Hedge Dynamic Beta LO strategy seeks to match or outperform leading equity long/short hedge funds by investing only in a dynamically-rebalanced, long-only portfolio of low-cost ETFs. The strategy builds on Beachhead’s nearly ten years of research into key drivers of hedge fund performance.

"We are very excited to be included on the SMArt Xchange,” said Andrew Beer, managing partner of Beachhead, in a statement. “Technology is fundamentally changing the investment business, and we believe that ‘unbundled’ investment strategies - delivered to clients via models and combined with powerful technology - will play a pivotal role going forward.”

Beachhead is a New York-based hedge fund advisory firm focused on delivering hedge fund performance with low fees, daily liquidity and transparency. The company currently manages more than $500 million and recently announced the inclusion of two dynamic beta strategies on Mercury Capital Advisors’ iFunds platform.

Florida-based HedgeCoVest was founded in 2013 by Evan Rapoport, who founded HedgeCo Networks, and is home to an award-winning, real-time investment platform that provides traditional and alternative institutional investment management in unified managed accounts with liquidity, transparency, security, and cost advantages.
