Nomura Seeks Exposure To LatAm Hedge Funds

Nomura Funds Research & Technologies America, the alternative investment research arm of Nomura Securities, is looking to give Japanese investors access to Latin American focused hedge funds.

Nomura Funds, which has exposure to other emerging markets, including Asia, Africa, Russia, is currently scouting for hedge fund strategies south of the border.

“We are currently looking for superb hedge funds in the Latin America area as Nomura Securities in Japan is very aware that investors in Japan, both retail and institutional, are increasingly interested in Latin American Alternative Investment,” said Momoko Shimizu, an analyst in the firm’s business development group.

Nomura Funds advises on over US$2 billion in total assets.
