Omni Partners Raises £340M For Third Secured Lending Fund

London-based Omni Partners has held a final close on its third secured lending strategy, raising £340 million and surpassing its original target.

The new fund, named Omni Secured Lending III, was launched in April 2016 just a few months after Omni closed on its second fund in February 2016 with £240 million. As with its predecessors, Fund III provides investors with exposure to short-term loans secured against UK residential and commercial properties, the company said in a statement. Since inception, the fund has delivered investors a net IRR of 9%, Omni added.

Omni’s first secured lending fund launched in February 2014, delivering a 10% net IRR and returning 112% of investors’ original capital in less than 27 months. OSL II, meanwhile, has delivered an estimated net IRR of 11% and has already returned approximately 100% of original commitments to investors.

Founded in 2004 former Nomura prop trading co-head Steve Clark, Omni Partners manages approximately $1 billion in assets across two strategies: equity event-driven (Omni Event) and UK secured property lending (Omni Secured Lending). The company shuttered its global macro fund in mid-2016.
