Beartooth Advisors Hires Ex-Advent International Principal Sahlman

Boutique fund placement firm Beartooth Advisors has named former Advent International executive Maggie Littlefield Sahlman as a managing director.

Sahlman will be based in Boston, the company said in a statement, and will augment BearTooth’s LP coverage capabilities across the Americas to bolster the provision of strategic advisory services to GPs. She joined on May 1.

Prior to joining BearTooth, Sahlman was a senior professional at Advent International where she was responsible for fundraising and investor relations activities in North America and Latin America. Prior to joining Advent in 2007, Sahlman was part of the global product management group for the private equity group at Goldman Sachs in New York, focusing on fund commitments, co-investments and secondary market investments.

“We are pleased to welcome Maggie to the Firm and, in some ways, it's more of a rejoining," said Bob Brown, co-founder of BearTooth. "Given our time working together previously, I know that Maggie will be a valuable addition to our team, and we look forward to working with her again."

BearTooth Advisors was founded by Brown, Andy Lund and Jim McGee in 2014 following their roles leading Advent's global fundraising, investor relations and broader marketing functions. The company is a boutique fund placement and strategic advisory firm providing services to general partners globally from offices in the U.S. and Europe.
