Unigestion Taps Kosowski To Lead Quantitative Research

Boutique asset manager Unigestion has named Imperial College’s Robert Kosowski as the new head of quantitative research on its equities team.

In his new role, Kosowski will be responsible for spearheading quantitative research and thought leadership, according to the company. Reporting to head of equity Alexei Jourovski, he joined on May 3 and is based in London. 

Kosowski, who is Associate Professor of Finance at Imperial College’s Business School, brings more than 20 years of experience in quantitative research to his new role. He is also a research fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), an associate member of the Oxford-Man Institute of Quantitative Finance at Oxford University, on the editorial board of the Journal of Alternative Investments, and a member of AIMA's research committee. 

He will maintain his academic responsibilities at Imperial, Unigestion added.

In the private sector, Kosowski has consulted for sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds, investment banks, family offices and private banks on topics including asset allocation, alpha strategies, risk-management, funds of hedge funds and portfolio construction.  He has held previous positions at Goldman Sachs, the Boston Consulting Group and Deutsche Bank.

Founded more than 40 years ago, Geneva-based Unigestion manages approximately $23 billion across equity, multi asset investing, private equity and alternatives solutions for institutional and high net worth investors.
