BNY Mellon Investment Management Taps Hamer For Consultant Relations Role

BNY Mellon Investment Management has named former Columbia Threadneedle executive Chris Hamer as head of the company’s consultant relations. 

In his new position, Hamer will manage the relationships between investment consulting companies around the world and BNY Mellon IM’s investment boutiques, according to an article in Pensions & Investments citing a company statement. He will be based in London and report to Olivier Cassin, head of the company’s European institutional distribution. 

Hamer joins from Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where spent 17 years and was most recently consultant relations director for the EMEA region. Beforehand, he was consultant relationship manager at AllianceBernstein. 

BNY Mellon Investment Management is one of the world's largest multi-boutique investment managers, encompassing BNY Mellon's 13 diversified investment boutiques, wealth management business and mutual fund company Dreyfus. The company managed more than $1.72 trillion globally as of March 31, 2017.
