JTC Fund Services Launches Guernsey-Licensed Management Company

Fund administrator JTC Fund Services has established a Guernsey-licensed management company as it continues to strengthen its European fund services proposition.

Through the new Guernsey affiliate, JTC is now able to support fund managers with a broad range of services, including portfolio management, risk management, compliance, and regulatory reporting, the company said in a statement.

The move also means JTC is now able to offer AIFMD-compliant managed services, both off- and onshore, to UCITS and AIF funds.

JTC’s Luxembourg unit was one of the first Luxembourg-licensed independent management companies to comply with the AIFMD, JTC added.

"We decided to establish a Guernsey management company due to client demand and already have a pipeline,” said Stuart Pinnington, group head of client services, funds & corporate, said in the statement.

"We are now in a very strong position to provide one-stop outsourced solutions to our clients,” Pinnington continued. “Our management services give alternative investment fund managers some welcome optionality and allow them to focus on their core competencies, performance and enhance their asset values.”

Founded in 1987, JTC Group is an independent provider of fund, corporate and fiduciary services to institutional and private clients in 18 jurisdictions. Its fund services unit administers $60 billion in assets for funds established in the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey, Luxembourg, Malta, South Africa and the UK. With expertise in the administration of traditional and alternative assets, JTC has a focus on private equity, real estate, debt and hedge funds and specializes in niche asset classes such as fine art, cryptocurrencies, technology, cleantech, infrastructure, transport and natural resources.
