Private equity company Alpine Investors has raised $532 million in capital commitments for its sixth buyout fund to focus on lower middle-market software and business services companies.

The new fund, named Alpine VI, was heavily oversubscribed and closed at its hard cap only six months after launch, the company said in a statement. Limited partners of the new fund include endowments, family offices, foundations and pension plans.

Acalyx Advisors was the placement adviser, the statement added. Hogan Lovells provided legal counsel to Alpine.

Founded in 2001, Alpine has raised more than $900 million over time, including commitments of $406 million to its fifth fund launched in 2014. The company has made 32 platform investments and more than 50 total investments since inception.
