Meketa Investment Group has named former Mercer executive David Eisenberg as principal and consultant working out of the firm’s Boston office.
The announcement comes just a week after Meketa brought former Cambridge Associates executive LaRoy Brantley aboard in a similar capacity.
Eisenberg brings more than 30 years of investment industry experience to his new role. Before joining Meketa, he was a partner at Mercer, where he served as the director of client consulting, was previously the segment leader of Mercer’s financial intermediaries investment consulting business, and a senior portfolio manager in Mercer’s OCIO business.
Beforehand, he served as a senior vice president at NEPC and was a consultant for Cambridge Associates. He has taught investments at Boston College and Boston University and is a CFA charterholder.
“With decades of relevant investment industry experience, particularly providing clients with personal and customized consulting solutions, we believe David will be a terrific addition to the Meketa team,” said Frank Benham, managing principal and director of research for Meketa Investment Group, in a statement.
Founded in 1978 by James Meketa, Meketa Investment Group is an employee-owned, full service investment consulting and advisory firm. As an independent fiduciary, the firm serves institutional investors in discretionary and non-discretionary roles. The company consults on more than $450 billion in assets for over 150 clients whose aggregate institutional assets exceed $900 billion.
