Angeles Equity Partners Add Three To Team

Angeles Equity Partners has strengthened its deal origination and execution capabilities by hiring three experienced professionals in its Los Angeles office. 

Maxwell Schechter joins the firm as vice president of business development focusing on deal origination and marketing, while James Lee and Shan Siddiqui join each join the company as associates concentrating on the evaluation, due diligence and execution of new investment opportunities.  

Prior to joining Angeles Equity Partners, Schechter worked in business development for Lindsay Goldberg sourcing potential investment opportunities, developing intermediary relationships and managing the firm's affiliate partner network.  Beforehand, he was involved in private equity fundraising at both The Riverside Company and MVision Private Equity Advisers.  

Before their new roles, Lee was as an analyst in the investment banking division of Jefferies’ Leveraged Finance and Restructuring & Recapitalization Group, while Siddiqui was an analyst in a similar capacity for Credit Suisse.

Founded in 2014 by Timothy Meyer and Jordan Katz, who worked together at $2 billion private equity company The Gores Group, Los Angeles-based Angeles Equity Partners pursues control-oriented equity investments in closely held or family owned businesses, non-core subsidiaries of larger companies, and buy-and-build opportunities with proven executives. The company’s oversubscribed debut fund closed in January 2017 with $360 million in capital commitments.
