Wind Point Partners has named former Sterling Partners executive Ron Liberman as its new director of investor relations, marketing and communications.

In his new role, Liberman will be responsible for investor relations, including fundraising, business development, marketing, and firm communications, the company said in a statement. He will be tasked with communicating Wind Point’s strategic plan for continuous growth and improvement while focusing on the firm’s commitment to cultivating strong relationships with current and potential investors.

Liberman joins Wind Point from Sterling Partners in Chicago, where he held multiple fund operations and investor relations positions during his seven years with the firm, and was most recently head of investor relations. Beforehand, he was part of the real estate group in Ernst & Young’s Assurance and Advisory Business Services practice. He is a CPA.

Founded in 1984, Wind Point Partners is a Chicago-based private equity investment firm with more than $2.3 billion in assets under management. The company, which recently closed its eighth fund at $985 million, targets investments in the consumer products, industrial products, and business services sectors.
