Global investment management firm Artisan Partners has launched a new fund that will offer a focused and highly flexible portfolio of investments reflective of the company’s best ideas across the global economy.

The new fund will be managed by Artisan’s growth team, with Jason White serving as lead portfolio manager and James Hamel, Matthew Kamm and Craigh Cepukenas as portfolio managers. White joined Artisan Partners in 2000 and has 17 years of investment experience, including serving as a portfolio manager since 2016 and as an associate portfolio manager since 2011 for Artisan’s Global Opportunities, Mid Cap and Small Cap funds.

“Since the launch of our earliest strategies in the 1990s, we have steadily expanded the investment flexibility of existing strategies and launched new [ones] with greater degrees of freedom,” said Artisan Partners CEO Eric Colson in a statement. “This increases our investment teams’ ability to generate alpha and manage risk within the constraints required by clients.”

“The launch of Artisan Global Discovery Fund is consistent with this evolutionary process,” he added.

Founded in 1994 by Andy and Carlene Ziegler, Artisan Partners is a global investment management firm that provides a broad range of high value-added investment strategies in growing asset classes to sophisticated clients around the world. As of July 31, 2017, the company managed $111.9 billion in assets on behalf of institutional and individual clients.
