Global law firm Ogier has named Cayman Investment Funds team members Joanne Huckle and Piers Dryden as partners, taking the firm's global partnership ranks to 54 members.

The promotions follow the arrival of partner Anthony Partridge in February, and the promotion of James Heinicke in the Cayman fund finance team to the partnership last year, Ogier said in a statement.

Huckle advises some of the team’s most prestigious investment funds clients with regards to both open-ended and closed-ended mutual fund and private equity fund structures, the company continued. She also has extensive experience advising on a broad range of international corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, rights issues, sukuk issues and restructurings.

Dryden has recently relocated to Jersey to lead the firm's Cayman law offering in the European timezone. He has extensive experience advising on corporate matters, including with respect to public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and rights issues.

He also advises on the establishment, operation, restructuring, regulation and listing of both open-ended and private equity funds, including those utilizing cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

Ogier provides advice on the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey and Luxembourg law through its network of offices that also includes Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo. Headquartered in Jersey and established in 1867, it is the only firm to advise on these five laws.
