Indus Valley Partners Enhances EDM Offering

Alternative asset technology specialist Indus Valley Partners has debuted an enhanced version of its Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platform aimed at transforming the way data is managed, memorialized and maintained for global asset managers.

The company’s upgraded platform incorporates state-of-the-art data mart technology, Indus Valley said in a statement, and provides an enterprise data layer that comes with pre-built connectors to every major broker, trading counterparty and market data vendor. With support for asset management-specific workflows and full transparency into data lineage, clients using IVP’s EDM platform can achieve current best practice in data governance without the time and expense of a major legacy tech overhaul.

The company’s EDM platform provides the vital data backbone to asset managers, providing accurate, consistent and timely data across client systems, processes and reporting. For example, IVP EDM can maintain an accurate investment book of record to support business-specific data integrity, or can be used to support strategic data management initiatives such as MiFID II regulatory compliance.

As funds also look to strategic cost reduction exercises involving outsourcing middle and back office functions, IVP EDM can ensure that all data flows to and from counterparties are consistent with a golden copy of data held and maintained by the client. It can be implemented on both a stand-alone basis or as part of a wider managed services offering, the company added.

Founded in 2000 and specializing in portfolio management technology for alternative asset managers, Indus Valley Partners has more than 130 global asset managers and private equity funds among its client base. $1.3 trillion of global hedge fund AUM is managed using IVP technology.
