Brevan Howard Said To Hire Goldman's Casulli

Alan Howard’s London-based Brevan Howard Asset Management has reportedly hired former Goldman Sachs senior fixed income specialist Andrea Casulli.
Casulli, who joined Goldman in 2014, was co-head of the company’s European government-bond-trading business in tandem with Garry Naughton. Beforehand, he was a rates trader for UBS and traded bonds for Lehman Brothers.
News of the hire was first reported by Bloomberg, citing an unidentified person familiar with the matter.
Details about Casulli’s role at Brevan Howard, including title and start date, were not immediately available. He left Goldman in June
Brevan Howard, whose AUM was north of $40 billion in 2013, has suffered a steady decline in assets under management in recent years. Assets have fallen by more than half and a number of high-profile executives have departed as returns have faltered. The company’s flagship macro hedge fund returned -5.2% in the first six months of the year, its worst first-half performance since inception in 2003.
