Global fund services and administration specialist Crestbridge has named former State Street executive Michael Newton as head of fund services in Jersey and former Mourant Ozannes senior associate John MacFeeters as client director.

The duo will join current Crestbridge Directors Sarah Rayson, Elliot Refson and Alex Le Quesne with a remit to develop the firm’s international funds proposition from its Jersey office, the company said in a statement.

Newton brings more than 20 years of experience in fund administration to Crestbridge. In his new role, he will be responsible growing and developing the firm’s fund services business from Jersey, a business that spans the full range of private equity, debt, real estate and hedge fund asset classes. He joins Crestbridge from State Street in Jersey, where he was a Senior Vice President.

MacFeeters has more than ten years of experience as a practising lawyer specialising in Jersey funds, as well as being a solicitor of the Royal Court of Jersey. As client director, he will be responsible for overseeing the administration of a portfolio of private and regulated public fund structures, as well as maintaining and developing relationships with existing and potential new clients and intermediaries. He joins Crestbridge from Mourant Ozannes, where he advised on fund formation, Jersey regulatory law advising hedge, real estate and private equity funds and fund promoters.

The administration of multi-jurisdictional funds represents one of the most important service areas for Crestbridge, the statement continued.

Founded in 1998 and based in Jersey, Crestbridge is a provider of administration and management services to institutions and corporate clients, fund managers and family offices. The firm has more than $115 billion of assets under administration across multiple structures serviced from offices in Bahrain, Cayman, Jersey, London and Luxembourg.
