Global investment manager Fulcrum Asset Management has named former Aviva Investors executive Marc Semaan as a multi-asset strategist on its investment team.

In his new role, Semann will provide further depth of resource to Fulcrum’s investment team, the company said in a statement. He joins from Aviva Investors, where he held a similar role on the company’s AIMS team. Beforehand, he was a macro strategist at Friends Life Investments where he developed a global macro research structure to support the fixed income teams, and previously worked at Brandywine Global Investment Management as a global macro research analyst.

London-based Fulcrum was founded in 2004 by Stevens and Gavyn Davies, who were former Goldman Sachs partners. The £5.1 billion manager has more than sixty employees, more than half of which is dedicated to research and risk management. Strategies employed by Fulcrum include both absolute and relative return strategies across all of the major liquid asset classes globally.
