Middle-market private equity company SFW Capital Partners has named former Axial executive Andrew Cialino as the firm’s new head of business development.

In his new role, Cialino will be responsible for identifying new investment opportunities as well as maintaining and building SFW's relationships with intermediaries and other potential deal sources, the company said Tuesday. He joins the company from Axial, where he was the head of sales and a member of its executive team.

“Andrew brings an extensive network and strong experience in deal origination and intermediary relationship management,” said Roger Freeman, co-founder and partner of SFW. “We are excited to have him join our team to further build our capabilities as well as identify new opportunities to partner with analytical tools and related services companies.”

Headquartered in Rye, NY, SFW specializes in strategic investments in mid-size companies focused on analytical tools and related services, such as analytical instrumentation, information and software, and related business services. These businesses are typically providers of lab, process and field instrumentation, control and monitoring solutions, test, inspection and certification services, software, information and workflow solutions.
