HSBC Global Asset Management Taps Meert For Consultant Relations Role

HSBC Global Asset Management has named former PwC executive Michel Meert as the company’s global head of client solutions and consultant relations.

In his new role, Meert will be responsible for further aligning HSBC Global Asset Management’s regional consultant relations team with the company’s sales and client strategy teams globally. He will be based in London and report to Brian Heyworth, global head of client strategy.

Before joining HSBC GAM, Meert was a global investment consulting leader for institutional investors with PwC, where he led the company’s focus on large asset owners. Beforehand, he was a senior investment consultant with Towers Watson, and previously held senior portfolio management roles at AXA Group. 

HSBC Global Asset Management is a major global investment management firm with AUM of more than $413 billion as of December 31 2016. The company offers a broad range of products across alternative, equity, fixed income, liquidity, and multi-asset solutions.
