The U.S. unit of Harvest Global Investments has expanded its New York office and strengthened its executive team with the appointment of former UBS executive Region Dale as CEO and the promotion of Harvest Global distribution specialist Angela Wang as VP of business development.

Harvest operates internationally via Hong Kong-based subsidiary Harvest Global Investments, while its U.S. affiliate is named Harvest Global Investments (USA). The company is an Asian and Chinese markets specialist asset manager with more than $110 billion in AUM.

The new hires are part of Harvest’s international expansion strategy and its plans to attract new U.S. investors looking for a local partner in China, the company said in a statement. Harvest USA offers investors a range of equity and bond funds.

In his new role, Dale will focus on managing the growth of the firm’s distribution capabilities with U.S. clients. He brings 25 years of experience in Greater China finance, includes opening Chase Manhattan’s Shanghai office in 1993. From 1994 to 2010 he worked in institutional equity sales, notably leading UBS’s China institutional sales business in the U.S.

Wang, meanwhile, will focus on distribution capabilities for U.S. clients. She has more than eight years of experience in institutional sales, working at Harvest Global Investments in London as well as at BOCI and BoA Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong.

Harvest is one of China’s largest institutional asset managers, working with consultants, pension funds, RIAs, and global sovereign wealth funds, on local Chinese investment opportunities.
