CD&R Names McInnes As Operating Advisor

Private equity company Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has named veteran business executive and Safran executive Ross McInnes as an operating adviser for the firm’s funds. 

In his new role, McInnes will advise on fund investment activities throughout Europe, the company said in a statement. 

McInnes, who currently is chairman of the board of French conglomerate Safran, has held senior leadership positions at some of the largest industrial, defense and luxury goods businesses in the world. He joined Safran in 2009 as EVP for economic and financial affairs before becoming deputy CEO. Beforehand, he served as vice-chairman of Macquarie Capital (Europe), executive board member at PPR (now Kering), CFO of Thomson-CSF (now Thales), and CFO at Eridania Beghin-Say. McInnes started his career in investment banking at Kleinwort Benson, followed by nine years at Continental Bank (now Bank of America) in London, Paris and Chicago. He is an Officier of France’s Legion of Honor.

Founded in 1978, New York-based CD&R is a private investment firm that has managed the investment of more than $24 billion into 75 businesses since inception. Investments span a broad range of industries and total an aggregate transaction value of more than $100 billion.
