Cameron Hume Adds Oxley As Senior Fixed Income Specialist

Former Old Mutual Global Advisors executive Russ Oxley has joined Edinburgh-based boutique investment management company Cameron Hume as head of macroeconomic strategy.

In his new role, Oxley will develop investment ideas as part of the company’s investment committee.

Oxley left his role as head of fixed income absolute return at OMGI more than a year ago after a disagreement, according to Citywire. He was subsequently thought to be forming his own shop, but reportedly opted to join Cameron Hume over the summer.

Prior to OMGI, Oxley managed more than £4 billion as manager of Ignis Asset Management’s absolute return government bond fund. Standard Life Investments bought Ignis in 2014.

Founded in 2011 by Guy Cameron and Christian Torkington, Cameron Hume specializes in fixed income strategies for large institutional clients. The company oversees some $700 million in assets.
