UBS O'Connor Taps Guo For New Long/Short China Equities Fund

UBS Group’s UBS O’Connor multi-strategy hedge fund unit has named former Millennium Management executive Leo Guo as a portfolio manager.

Guo is reportedly working on a new global long/short equity strategy that will initially focus on China-related opportunities and consumer technology, according to an article in Pensions & Investments citing an email from the company.

Guo was an equity long/short manager with Millennium from 2015 to July of this year and joined UBS O’Connor in September, according to his LinkedIn profile. Before that, he was a founding partner of Denjoy Capital Partners, where he served as senior analyst on European and Chinese stocks. He started his career at Brevan Howard.

UBS O'Connor is the multi-strategy hedge fund unit of UBS Asset Management. It manages more than $7 billion in assets.
