Merrill Lynch has named Jeffrey Levy its new head of Asian prime brokerage sales.
Levy joins the firm’s Singapore office from Sydney, Australia-based hedge fund FreeSprint Group, which manages some US$150 million. The Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan equity sales vet begins his new job on March 3.
Levy’s hire fills the hole left by Harvey Twomey, who left the firm earlier this month to join Deutsche Bank as head of global prime finance sales in Asia. Twomey’s exit followed that of Melvyn Ford, who departed last month.
