Citadel Hires JPMorgan Exec. To Lead Europe

Alternative asset manager Citadel Investment Group has hired Patrik Edsparr to serve as CEO for Citadel Europe. Edsparr will also lead Citadel's global fixed income business, including its securitized products.

"Patrik Edsparr is an exceptional leader and business builder, and we are delighted he will join our organization."

Edsparr joins Citadel from JPMorgan Chase, where he was a member of the executive committee and held a number of leadership roles, including the global head of rates, FX, securitized products, fixed-income, exotics and hybrids, propriety trading and principal investments. Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase in 1996, Edsparr was with Lehman Brothers in mortgage derivative strategies. 

Citadel focuses on alternative investment strategies and services. The Citadel group of companies employs 1,200 professionals worldwide in Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, Bermuda, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
