Mar 27 2008 | 10:52am ET

London-based hedge fund shop Fortune Asset Management has hired Frank Casey as president of Fortune USA and Nadia Bucci as a senior associate.

Casey previously worked at Benchmark Plus Management and Bucci most recently worked as European sales manager at the European Islamic Bank.

“We have established a number of successful joint ventures in different markets around the world, including South Africa, Canada and Australia, but strong growth prospects in the core hedge fund markets of Europe and the U.S. have necessitated a further build out of the team,” said CEO Simon Hopkins.

Fortune became a subsidiary of London-based investment bank Close Brothers Group in 2006.
