90210 Firm Launching U.S. Equity Long/Short Growth Fund

Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Pi Capital is launching the Pi Cap U.S. Equity Long/Short Growth Fund, an offshore long/short equity hedge fund, later this month. The fund is being managed by Akber Zaidi, chief investment officer, who recently joined Pi Capital from Citigroup Smith Barney's private client services division.

Pi Cap will have a $1 million minimum and a 0.75/20 fee structure. Bear Stearns is serving as the fund's prime broker on the new fund, and HedgeWorks as its fund administrator.
