London-based Palamon Capital Partners, a mid-market private equity firm, has appointed Gary Pritchard as its CFO.

Pritchard joins Palamon from Catlin Group, the international specialty insurance and reinsurance group, where he worked for 12 years, most recently as head of finance operations.

“Gary’s first hand experience in managing financial operations for a firm like Catlin which grew explosively over the last decade will ensure that Palamon maintains strong financial control as we continue on our own fast growth trajectory,” said Michael Hoffman, chairman.

Palamon currently manages some €1.1 billion (US$1.7 billion) and is currently investing its second pan-European fund, Palamon European Equity II.
