Hedge fund managers looking for work or in fundraising mode may find it easier to sell themselves with the help of a new service from Risk Management Solutions. The background investigation firm is offering a ten-year background check for hedge fund managers to assist them in making themselves more credible to investors and employers.
An RMS report will contain public records, including those from regulatory agencies, media, and education and past employment verification on the hedge fund managers and is good for six months from the date of completion.
“We believe that our reports will make the fund manager more attractive to the employer; it will show the employer that the prospect is in good standing, and had the foresight to conduct the due diligence,” Ted Fox, president of FSE. “Which manager would you hire: the one with the background check or the one without?”
Risk Management specializes in manager research for funds of hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms.
