Horizon Targets $500M For New Buyout Fund

Horizon21 is raising $500 million for its latest private equity offering, H21 Growth Opportunities I. The firm held a first close on the fund in December, with management has committed $8 million to the cause.

GO I will invest in and alongside p.e. funds targeting growth companies with anticipated growth rate of more than 20% annually, according to the firm. It will invest in some 20 to 25 venture and buyout funds in Asia, the U.S. and Europe.

The fund will limit its investment in any one fund to 10% and any one co-investment in excess of 4%.
