Morgan Stanley Hires BKF Team

Morgan Stanley Investment Management has hired a team from BKF Asset Management to manage a small- and mid-cap long/short equity strategy, Financial News reports. Chris Lytle and Anthony Lorenzo will be based in New York, the former as managing director and portfolio manager and the latter as executive director and research analyst, in the absolute return strategies group.

According to FN, they will use a fundamental research approach to the small- and mid-cap sectors.

The hires bring to eight the number of appointments made by MSIM in the last two months. The firm has been working to strengthen its alternatives unit.
