Woodside Fund Adds Tech Consultant

Mark Hoover is set to join Redwood Shores, Calif.-based early-stage venture capital firm Woodside Fund as a venture partner. The co-founder of early-stage technology consulting firm Acuitive, Hoover “not only has a tremendous ability to identify a great business opportunity, but a rare quality of unending patience to help a young company grow,” according to Tom Barsi, CEO of ConSentry Networks, which has worked with Hoover.

Hoover will wind down Acuitive’s operations by the end of the year. He is to split his time between Woodside and his individual consultancy.
