SGAM Alts. Appoints New CEO

Société Générale Asset Management has named Olivier Leclerc as CEO of its SGAM Alternative Investments subsidiary, effective June 1.

Lecler joined SGAM in January 2006, first as head of finance and operations, then as deputy to the deputy general manager for operations. He also served as chairman and CEO of SGAM Banque, which specializes in structuring for alternative investments.

SGAM AI is a wholly owned subsidiary of SocGen and manages some €41.8 billion (US$65 billion) in assets. SGAM AI’s hedge fund group manages €7.6 billion (US$11.8 billion) in fund of hedge funds, multi-strategy and single strategy hedge funds.
