UBS is boosting its U.S. prime brokerage business with a new pair of co-heads to lead its equities finance division.
The Swiss bank has hired Matt Roux from Deutsche Bank, and promoted Mike Kelleher, to lead the group. Roux was a director in swaps and securities lending at Deutsche Bank and has worked at Citadel Investment Group’s finance team. Kelleher most recently served on Deutsche Bank’s hedge fund coverage team.
UBS’ prime brokerage revenues rose in the first quarter on increased securities lending and client financing, it said.
