Hedge fund administrator OpHedge Investment Services is centralizing its operational risk management with a new hire.
Scott Gyllensten was named the Rye Brook, N.Y.-based firm’s first director of operational risk. A lawyer, Gyllensten most recently served as head of operational risk for the Americas at Royal Bank of Scotland’s global banking and markets group.
“Given our ongoing growth, and our commitment to controlling operational risk, we clearly saw the importance of having a fully-dedicated, senior-level executive to lead this effort, OpHedge CEO Peter Sanchez said. “OpHedge is delighted to have someone of Scott’s experience and caliber fill this role.”
