Shelterwood Financial Services, a New York-based multi-family office advisory firm, has hired Tara Duffy as a managing director focusing on serving and advising Shelterwood’s client families. She will report to William Rankin, president and chief executive officer.
Previously, Duffy served as a director and portfolio manager at Global Hedge Strategies, a joint venture formed by Citigroup Global Wealth Management and the Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company specializing in the development of customized hedge fund portfolios.
“The evolution of the global markets has created a complex array of risks and opportunities for ultra-high net worth families to manage their capital wisely,” said Rankin. “Ms. Duffy’s extensive experience working with both traditional and non-traditional strategies and advising both onshore and offshore families is particularly well suited to our practice.”
