MKP Capital Management, a $4 billion hedge fund shop, has added three senior investment professionals to its staff.

Jason Bonanca, previously a senior member of the foreign exchange research and strategy team at Credit Suisse, joins MKP as a director and senior economic advisor, focusing on global fixed-income and foreign-exchange opportunities.

Steven Gordon, previously managing director of commercial mortgage-backed securities credit trading at Bear Stearns, will lead the firm’s CMBS investments, and Richard Lightburn, most recently a managing director at HSBC Securities, will focus on the firm’s relative-value trading opportunities in liquid mortgage securities.

“Given the global opportunities, we will continue to add talented people to our global diversified platform,” said founder Patrick McMahon.
