Hong Kong-based Enhanced Investment Products has brought back an old face to build up its hedge fund.
Howard Ng, who left EIP two years ago to work at BNP Paribas, has rejoined EIP as a director on the trading desk, Asian Investor reports. Ng was one of EIP’s first employees, hired by firm founder Tobias Bland, who worked with Ng at Jardine Fleming. After four years at EIP, Ng left to run a new proprietary trading book at BNP.
EIP’s Overlay Fund, a multi-strategy market-neutral offering, manages about US$300 million, and has returned 10.2% this year.
