Jan 19 2006 | 7:41pm ET

Hedge fund and private equity fundraising boutique The Silverfern Group has added Lobi Powell and Christopher Slinger to its management team. Powell joins as managing director, and while Slinger joins as director.

Prior to joining Silverfern, Powell was the founder and president of hedge fund marketing firm Elan Alternative Group and Slinger was on the sales team at IRG Research. At Silverfern, Powell will focus on providing marketing and distribution services to hedge fund clients through capital-raising, while Slinger will work in a distribution capacity.

“The addition of the deep hedge-fund fundraising experience which Lobi brings to the Silverfern private funds group, coupled with the distribution capabilities added by Chris to our team, enables Silverfern to stand out in the marketplace as a full-service fundraising boutique equally capable of servicing both private equity and hedge fund clients,” said Reeta Kapani, head of the firm’s private funds group.
