A hedge fund currency rates trader has joined Barclays Capital, as that firm boosts in U.S. bond trading business.
Charlie Pankhurst has most recently served as partner and proprietary rates trader at Archeus Capital Management and Centerlight Capital Management. In his new post, he will focus on trading U.S. Treasury STRIPS, securities created by separating the bonds’ principal and coupon portions.
The new managing director will be based at Barclays’ New York office.
