Hedge fund administrator Phoenix Fund Services has added Gerard Quirke from Hermes Pension Management to help lead its expansion.
Quirke was named a director at Phoenix, which administers US$12.5 billion in assets. The 10-year-old firm started a U.K. collective investment plan servicing business last year, and in 2004 opened an offshore fund office in Dublin, Ireland.
At Hermes, Quirke served as chief operating officer and deputy CEO. Before joining Hermes, he was European retail director at Morley Fund Management.
