The shakeup at Citigroup’s prime brokerage division continues, with the departure of its top salesman and the arrival of several new faces, both from within and without.
Sal Campo, who until recently served as head of prime finance sales, is leaving the firm, Dow Jones Newswires reports.
Meanwhile, the division has added Merrill Lynch’s Deborah Freer as head of transition and integration services, and Lynn Hambright to focus on research. Freer, who will be responsible for “the process we use” to attract new clients, according to a memo from newly-minted Americas prime finance chief Alan Pace, most recently worked as global head of institutional client services at Merrill. Hambright, who will “create and oversee a new hedge fund research function,” comes to the group from Citi’s equities department.
Pace also announced several organizational changes, with Mark Aldoroty and Mike Hynes named co-heads of prime brokerage and Severino Renna and John Willians co-heads of risk management. Previously, each focused on either equities or fixed-income.
