GLG Partners has hired Andrew Knott as a portfolio manager in its London office, responsible for establishing a new global energy product and managing its global energy investments.
Knott will report to GLG co-founder Pierre Lagrange. He joins from Merrill Lynch, where he ran the European oil and gas exploration and production equity research team. Perviously, Knott was an oil and gas equity research analyst at Dresdner Kleinwort.
“Andrew is well known as one of the most influential sell-side analysts in the energy sector,” said Lagrange. He has been a key external advisor to GLG on energy-related matters over the last four years. We look forward to the contribution he will make as GLG seeks to significantly expand its energy-related investment exposure.”
